Our Financial Options
We have made every effort to make dental care affordable to our patients by offering two convenient payment options from which to choose.
Option A: No Dental Insurance:
Payment in full on the day of each visit. We accept cash, check, debit cards, all major credit cards and Care Credit. Information regarding financing from an outside company or our DenVantage in-house membership program is available upon request.
Option B: Dental Insurance:
As a courtesy, we will bill primary dental insurances that allow
out of network providers. The difference between the estimated insurance contribution (our best estimation, not a guarantee of payment) and the fee for our services is due in full on the day of each visit. If we are unable to estimate the insurance contribution the full fee for our services will be due on the day of the visit. If your insurance pays more than the estimated contribution or payment in full was made prior to receiving an insurance payment, your account will be credited. If your insurance pays less than the estimated contribution or does not pay within 60 days of treatment, you agree to pay the outstanding balance. You have the option of authorizing us to automatically process that payment on your credit/debit card or you will be sent a bill to your address on file. The amount your dental plan contributes is based on the plan selected and purchased by your employer and the plans are not designed to cover all your dental needs. As a convenience to our patients who want an accurate (not estimated) insurance contribution prior to treatment, we will submit a Prior Authorization to your dental plan upon request.
Option C: DenVantage Membership Plan
DenVantage is designed for people without dental insurance, or for anyone who is getting less than they are paying for.
You pay a modest monthly membership fee and all of your regular preventive care is included at no additional cost. That means all the things you would normally have done on your regular visits with your dental hygienist: are covered 100%.
If you need further dental work, a benefit will be applied toward the cost of any procedure your dentist offers.
Here are some things you need to be aware of:
- Benefits will apply only for procedures actually done in the MidCoast Family Dentistry office.
- To create the savings that are passed back to you, you agree:
- to pay in advance for all services not fully covered by your membership, and
- to keep all scheduled appointments, or notify the office within the required time, or pay a re-scheduling fee.
