Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a condition where your breathing stops periodically while you sleep.  In order to get oxygen, your body wakes up. If this happens many times during the night, you are prevented from getting the deep sleep your body needs.  The lack of good sleep, coupled with a lower oxygen level in your blood, makes sleep apnea a serious medical problem that can lead to high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, excessive daytime sleepiness, and other conditions.

Your physician and sleep doctor diagnose sleep apnea, and recommend what treatment would work best for you.  We have advanced training in sleep apnea, we have screening tools including a take home sleep test, and we make oral appliances to help manage sleep apnea, based on your doctor’s recommendation.
