Dear Randy,
We go back 25 years of you being my dentist. You have done a great skillful amount of work on my teeth. You have a very good staff and they always fit me in when I call. I can only remember a few names, Jody, Tammy and Jillian. I'll be 90 this year and still have a healthy set of teeth, due to your wonderful care. -E.E.

I have been a patient for over 3 years now, and I have yet to be disappointed. Even when you took an x-ray and found a cavity. It is technology at its finest to see my xrays show up instantly on the screen. I not only was able to see the cavity for myself, I was then told my options, a timeframe and a cost for fixing it, and this was all before my appointment was over. My entire family now comes to your practice, even my husband who used to be terrified of dentists. I am convinced that you will be servicing my family for years to come. -J.S.

I am Francina Pearse and I hate to go to the dentist. Or I should say, years ago, I disliked going to the dentist. I would much rather go to the Doctor. But over the years as I grew older I have changed...some what. Years ago I found that I had to get a new dentist as my other one had retired. Where do you look for one? I'll tell you...you ask all your friends who they are going to. This is how I found Dr. Randy Thivierge. I made an appointment over 20 years ago and I am still going to him. We've had some interesting appointments, besides the regular teeth cleaning, filling cavities (I've had a lot, as my teeth are soft) and of course he has had to pull some. All work that he has done, he always talks to me about what he is going to do before he does it. Sometimes I have questions, which he always answers, and some times we just discuss the problem. It is unbelievable what he can do...you see I gag easily. When he is working on my back teeth, and I start to gag, he can pull back and flip me into a sitting position so fast you can hardly believe it. Would I recommend him to people? You bet your life I would. -F.P.

Let me begin by stating how responsive this office was, I had an extremely short wait from the time I called to make a new patient appointment for my children. I was offered to have my daughter’s appointments back to back so there would be little delay. When I arrived at the scheduled time, they took both girls in and even put them in rooms next to each other. For a busy Mom, this was fantastic! The hygienists explained to my children the method of their hygiene cleaning so they didn’t have any anxiety. At even our first visit, I could tell that Dr. Randy was no ordinary dentist. He was pleasant and patient with my children and our questions.
The entire staff was friendly and made my visit an easy, comfortable experience, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. L.C. Washington, ME

Hello fellow grinders. To make a long story short, I have tried night guards for years, none worked, so I lose teeth. Then, Dr. Randy showed me this night guard that is about a half inch wide. Well I wear it without choking and I know it will protect the teeth I have left. Thanks, Juanita of Camden
I recently moved to the area and was referred to MidCoast Family Dentistry, thinking I only needed to continue with routine cleanings and check ups. My gums had been bleeding and very tender for quite some time, and it turned out that I needed to have periodontal work done before we could even address the condition of my teeth. After two sessions with Heather my mouth feels completely different. I hadn't realized how gingerly I had been brushing my teeth to try to avoid bleeding, or how I had been chewing on one side of my mouth to avoid pain. Now I am able to chew, brush, drink hot and cold drinks without pain, and I no longer see any blood at all when I brush or floss. Another benefit has been that I am now flossing consistently. It was one of the chores that I often left out at the end of the day. Now that my gums feel healthy I want to keep them that way, and I never forget to floss. -Anonymous
